Event Description:

As the economic recovery in the U.S. slowly takes shape, many eyes are on Asia as it bounces back faster than the rest of the world.  Driven primarily by the rise of the Asian middle class, which is projected to hit 2.7 billion people by the year 2030, the traditionally export-reliant region is now self-generating growth as demand for goods and services increases exponentially.  Savvy U.S. companies, no longer simply relying on mature Western markets to expand their market share, are devising new business and sales strategies to attract the increasingly affluent Asian consumer.

  • How can Silicon Valley companies target this Asian opportunity?
  • More importantly, is it enough to have just a China strategy?  What advantages are there for a more encompassing pan-Asian approach?
  • How does one consider and integrate the many facets and cultures of Asia in their product plans?
  • What roles do innovation and product customization play in a sound strategy?
  • Finally, how will startups and small companies, even with limited resources, tap the Asian opportunity?
